2008 Conference
“Lean on Me” means together we are stronger and no one needs to do it all alone.
The "Lean on Me" 3-day conference provided participants with new information and new ideas to strengthen the belief that by leaning on each other, by helping and supporting one another, we will be stronger and more resilient and be better able to advocate for ourselves and each other.
Here is what some of the participants had to say about the "Lean on Me" Conference:
"The values of community and families getting together - and the experience of these relationships have been so obvious this weekend! We have learned that these gatherings give us the strength and the guts to keep going. More importantly - they give us (together with community) the know-how and true power to make life fabulous! Thank you. I have loved being here and will take away very valuable lessons!"
"This was a great conference. Very well organized. Fantastic speakers."
"Thank you in particular for the amazing program you designed for our teens! They really enjoyed themselves and they were treated so kindly and they experienced such a great time - the movie, the lunches out, the hot dog roast, the laser-tag was amazing. Thank you so very much! Hope to see you next time in Vancouver."
"Awesome! Awesome! Thank you all so much!"
"These gatherings will give us strength and the guts to keep going."
"What a wonderful experience. Thank you so much."
"Excellent opportunity!"
"It was a wonderful experience and I am hoping to find out about differnt conferences."
