General Conference Information

Your registration must be received online (with payment made) to be eligible. The draw date is a week before the conference: October 14, 2010.

Online registration will allow you to make changes and additions to your registration as necessary until Wednesday October 13, 2010, and contains the most current information at all times.

Early Bird Registration is available until September 10, 2010.
Registration categories are defined as follows:
- Self-Advocate is anyone that has a developmental or physical disability.
- Youth is anyone under the age of 18 years.
- Family is anyone that has or supports a child with a disability.
- Personal Care Attendant is anyone accompanying a Self-Advocate and must attend the same sessions as the person they are supporting.
The Full Conference registration fees for the 2010 National Family Conference include:
- President’s Reception on Friday evening
- Attendance at all Conferences Sessions on Friday, Saturday and Sunday morning
- Lunch and Breaks on Friday and Saturday
- Family Session Breakfast on Sunday
One Day Conference registration includes all Conference Sessions and Social Events that day (excluding Saturday Evening Dinner and Dance).
Participation at the Saturday Evening Dinner and Dance is optional and pre purchased tickets are required at a price of $60 for Adults or $30 for children up to 12 years of age.
Additional tickets may also be purchased for the lunches on Friday and Saturday for $30 and the Family Session breakfast on Sunday for $20.

If you have already registered for the 2010 National Family Conference, you may log into the registration system to make a change by entering your access key in the “Attendee Login” field below and clicking the “Login” button. If you have misplaced your access key you can request it be sent to the email address you provided when registering by entering the email address in the “Forgotten your Access Key?” field below and clicking the “Send” button.

The registration deadlines are as follows:
Early Bird Rate • Up to September 10, 2010
Regular Rate • September 11 to onsite
Hotel Booking Deadline • Up to September 20, 2010 and subject to availability
Online Registration Closes • October 13, 2010
Onsite Registration Opens • October 21, 2010
PAYMENT, CONFIRMATION AND RECEIPT
The registration fee category is determined by when the payment is received, and is due in Canadian dollars. Pre-registrants who do not pay their registration fee until arrival onsite at the Conference will be charged the onsite registration fee.
A confirmation email will be sent shortly after you register which serves as a receipt if you submit payment by credit card and as an invoice if you wish to pay by cheque. If payment is made by cheque then a receipt will be sent once payment has been received.
Methods of Payment
Cheque (applicable pre-conference)
If you are paying by cheque, please include the name of the registrant on the cheque and make the cheque payable to “BCACL c/o Sea to Sky Meeting Management Inc.” Please see the payment address at the bottom of this page. A receipt will be sent to the email address provided in this registration once payment has been received.
Credit Card - Visa and Master Card (applicable pre-conference and onsite)
If paying by Credit Card, “Sea to Sky Meeting Management Inc.” will appear as the vendor on your credit card statement.
CANCELLATION, REFUND POLICY
Refunds will be available until Friday, September 10, 2010 and will be subject to a cancellation administration fee of $50 per person. After this date no refunds will be permitted, however participant substitutions can be made until Wednesday, October 13, 2010. All cancellations or substitutions must be submitted in writing to Sea to Sky Meeting Management at bcacl@seatoskymeetings.com.

Wheelchair Access and Special Assistance
All Conference venues are wheelchair accessible. If you require special assistance for any reason, please include your requirements during the registration process and confirm any details with the Registration Coordinator.
Dietary Requests
Please identify any dietary requirements during the registration process so that we can make arrangements in advance for your registered food and beverage events.
Insurance and Liability
Participants take part in the 2010 National Family Conference at their own risk and need to make their own health and travel insurance arrangements.
